چکیده
Background Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a common condition that can severely affect women’s life quality. Electroacupuncture (EA) has been proved to be an optional treatment for SUI, but the tolerance of EA becomes factor affecting efficiency, which should not ignored and needs solved urgently. The purpose this study find out whether use alternating acupoints combination solve problem or provide optimization female SUI. Methods This multi-center randomized controlled trial will enroll 360 patients with They randomly assigned one three groups—sacral group (sacral group), abdominal (abdominal (alternating group)—at 1:1:1 ratio. receive 18 sessions followed up 48 weeks after treatment. primary outcome measure change urine leakage at week 6. secondary outcomes include episode frequency (IEF), International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Short Form (ICIQ-SF), severity patient self-evaluation therapeutic effects, weekly usage pads, ultrasonography pelvic floor, specialty therapies evaluation discomfort during treatment, acceptability adverse events related intervention. Discussion specifically designed offer optimized aiming enhance their quality life. Clinical registration : ClinicalTrials.gov , identifier ID:NCT05635669.

The efficacy of electroacupuncture for the treatment of simple female stress urinary incontinence - comparison with pelvic floor muscle training: study protocol for a multicenter randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND Previous research has shown that electroacupuncture therapy has a potential therapeutic effect for simple female stress urinary incontinence. In this study, pelvic floor muscle training, the first-line treatment for stress urinary incontinence in women based on meta-analysis of numerous randomized control trials and recommended by international clinical practice, is used as a control...
متن کاملMagnetic stimulation for stress urinary incontinence: study protocol for a randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND There is currently a lack of randomized, sham-controlled trials that are adequately powered, using validated outcomes, to allow for firm recommendations on the use of magnetic stimulation for stress urinary incontinence. We report a protocol of a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled parallel-group trial to evaluate the efficacy of magnetic stimulation for stress uri...
متن کاملA Pilot Randomized Placebo Controlled Trial of Electroacupuncture for Women with Pure Stress Urinary Incontinence
BACKGROUND Acupuncture is a potential conservative therapy for women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI). There is limited evidence to support its effectiveness due to the poor quality of existing studies. METHODS We performed a pilot randomized, controlled trial to preliminarily assess the efficacy of electroacupuncture (EA) in women with pure SUI. A total of 80 women with pure SUI were r...
متن کاملElectroacupuncture versus sham electroacupuncture for urinary retention in poststroke patients: study protocol for a multicenter, randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND This study protocol evaluates the effectiveness of adjuvant electroacupuncture (EA) for urinary retention in poststroke patients undergoing conventional treatments, in comparison with that of a sham control. METHODS/DESIGN A multicenter, blinded, randomized controlled trial will be conducted in three hospitals in the Republic of Korea. We are recruiting 54 stroke survivors (aged >1...
